All prospective foster and adoptive parents must attend and complete a comprehensive training program known as FOSTER PRIDE/ADOPT PRIDE. The program is provided in partnership with West Valley/Mission College.

Many future parents make great connections and lasting friendships during their PRIDE training. Topics in this program include: Creating Teams, Attachment, Loss, Discipline, Cultural Competency, Planning for Change, and Making an Informed Decision.

Workshops are offered in English and Spanish, and on weekends and evenings, to fit in with your schedule. Come to PRIDE class on the first date of the series you choose, where you will receive more information about completing the training.

Dates are subject to change. Please call 299-KIDS to confirm your workshop sequence's start date.
